The Memaliaj Water Supply Project represents a strategic investment aimed at improving the reliability, efficiency, and safety of water supply services for the citizens of Memaliaj. The project addressed one of the most critical issues in the city's infrastructure — the replacement of the deteriorated transmission line between the Bambull Pumping Station and the Memaliaj Reservoir, which had long been unable to meet the required standards of continuous and quality water delivery.
With the new transmission line in place, Memaliaj now benefits from 24-hour uninterrupted water supply, ensuring both adequate pressure and water quality in full compliance with national standards and European Union directives. This marks a significant step forward in modernizing the city's hydraulic infrastructure, securing a more sustainable and reliable service for residents.
Beyond the transmission network, the project also included the installation of dedicated water meter cabinets for 32 apartment buildings across the city. This component is essential not only for improving consumption monitoring and billing accuracy but also for encouraging responsible water use and reducing overall system losses.
