Overview
Implemented by iSec Ltd. under the #EU4SocialCare programme, this project focused on transforming the former Officers’ House in Kukës into a modern, functional, and inclusive Centre for Psychosocial Wellbeing. The facility is dedicated to supporting children, youth, parents, and vulnerable groups facing trauma, crises, or social difficulties. In close cooperation with Kukës Municipality, Terre des Hommes, and institutional partners of the #EU4SocialCare programme — financed by the European Union and implemented by UNICEF Albania and World Vision Albania — the rehabilitation and furnishing works were successfully completed by iSec Ltd.
The project aimed to create a safe, welcoming, and therapeutic environment that fosters wellbeing and security for beneficiaries, providing purpose-designed spaces for individual and group counselling, crisis intervention, and educational and community activities.
Key Works Executed
- Architectural and functional reorganization of existing spaces, including structural glass partitions and complete redesign of the floor plan
- Enhancement of natural and artificial lighting
- Renovation of floors, ceilings, and walls
- Installation of heating and air-conditioning systems to ensure year-round comfort
- Interior painting with positive psychological impact
- Modern furnishing with ergonomic, durable, comfortable, and functional materials

Today, the Kukës Psychosocial Wellbeing Centre stands as a model of best practice in providing specialised psychosocial services at the local level, offering the community a revitalised space for support, development, and social inclusion.
